Cardiac Rehabilitation
Following a major diagnosis or cardiovascular surgery, your doctor may prescribe cardiac rehabilitation. Grandview Medical Center offers cardiac rehabilitation in an outpatient setting to help you enhance your quality of life where it’s convenient - close to home.
Our cardiac rehabilitation program is designed for patients who are recovering from a heart attack, heart valve surgery, coronary bypass surgery, balloon angioplasty/stent or have a pacemaker or defibrillator. Patients who are at risk for heart disease, who have angina or who have congestive heart failure may also benefit from the program.
In cardiac rehabilitation, your heart care team will help you establish a heart-healthy lifestyle through therapies designed to strengthen your heart and reduce your risk factors for certain heart and vascular conditions. To ensure that you’re ready to resume a normal or semi-normal lifestyle, rehabilitation also includes education on healthy nutrition as well as day-to-day safety precautions.
Admission to the cardiac rehabilitation program requires a physician referral. Click here to find a Grandview cardiologist near you.
